On the brink.
After rolling through the regular season, Attack of the Team find themselves with their backs against the wall heading into the the series-deciding Game 2 against Team Sleazy. This one can only be describes as a disaster for the division champs - nothing went according to plan and Team Sleazy played their best game of the season when it counted most.
Penalties ultimately killed any shot at a comeback for the Attack. After going down 3-0 early, taking 7penalties in the second period is not the way to get back into a game. The focus wasn't there, the motivation seemed to be absent and despite having a near-full bench, the races and battles kept going the other way. This is definitely one to forget with the season on the line in one week's time.
A Sleazy win or tie in regulation sends them to the finals in the series-deciding game. If Attack and pull off a regulation win, the series will be decided by overtime or a shootout. Game 2 is scheduled for August 6 at Clatworthy Arena.
