Business as usual.

Attack of the Team continued their march to the top of the Miller Division standings with a huge 9-2 win over Team Sleazy. Goals came from everywhere and the offensive zone pressure was enough to give Barber a bit of a rest at the other end of the rink for most of the game - important heading into the second half of a back-to-back. Will Minchopoulos, Zack Cvetkovski and Jordan Ball each found the back of the net twice before spreading the wealth a bit late in the game. Borto, Hewlett and Kosciuch rounded out the scoring with Smitty and Mark Kealey putting up big numbers in the assist column.

The game had its drama...

Officiating was called into question a number of times - something the officials had enough. 32 PIM were issues - 20 of those were for misconducts or unsportsmanlike penalties. The upside was the typical Attack/Sleazy jawing was almost non-existent since all of the animosity was directed at the referees so we ended up with a rather pleasant game - even with the blowout score.

This win should clinch the top spot in the division as Attack of the Team sits 8 points clear of the Riot - the Riot has four games remaining but lose the tie-breaker to the Attack. What was supposed to be a three-way battle turned out to be a runaway division win but the games that really count don't start until the end of July.

The last cross-over comes quick as the Attack have to regroup to take on the Outlaws the following day at Leacock Arena.
